Welcome to August! It's been one of those unpredictable winters with storms, wild weather and lots of cloudy days. Fortunately, we have an exciting mix of new movies and TV shows from Presto to pick over while we wait to thaw out. Let Streambly walk you through some highlights.

TV:
New episodes of Mr Robot released Thursdays, and Aquarius on Fridays from August 4, and a good numbers of children's shows are also added to round out the offerings. Pick from homegrown 'Lah-Lah's Adventures', Chuggington, Cat in the Hat: Xmas Special, Hot Wheels Battle Force, Max and Ruby, Scaredy Squirrel and more. Double episode featuring the rise-to-glory story of INXS: Never Tear Us Apart will be added August 8. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIOVx49stGI)

BINGE:
Presto's exclusive ties with HBO and Showtime has brought to Australia the complete series of Dexter (S1-S8) a forensic technician who moonlights as a vigilante serial killer exacting his own version of justice (Aug 5) ; The Newsroom (S1-S3) starring Jeff Bridges as a news anchor opposite legendary Jane Fonda (Aug 19), and three seasons of Veep (Aug 3), starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President in a hilarious black comedy political setting. There's also S1 of AMC's Fear of Walking Dead on Aug 24th, and S4 of Winners and Losers on Aug 1.

Movies:
There's an amazing selection this month, and some groups of movies stand out.

New Releases (2015): End of the Tour - Rolling Stone interview with author David Foster Wallace after his 1996 book release 'Infinite Jest', Youth starring Michael Caine, and Rachel Weisz, The 5th Wave with Chloe Grace Moretz; Mr Holmes, played by the inimitable Ian McKellen; Open Season: Scared Silly (one for the family), and locally made The Dressmaker with Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth.

Woody Allen marathon: The purple Rose of Cairo (1985), Interiors (1978), Manhattan (1979), Annie Hall (1977), Bananas (1971), Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), Radio Days (1987), Broadway Danny Rose (1984) plus Match Point (2005) and Scoop (2006) with Scarlett Johansson

Revisit the 90's with Brendan Fraser in Airheads, and Eddie Murphy as an alien controlled imposter in Meet Dave; Edward Nortan's debut in Primal Fear alongside Richard Gere, Sigourney Weaver in psychological thriller Copycat, laugh with Paul Reiser in Bye Bye Love, and unlikely pairing Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg in Made in America.

See two Johnny Depp incarnations in the first Pirates movie and Public Enemies, and reminisce with the great Robin Williams with his classics Dead Poets Society and Good Morning Vietnam.

Children's shows:
Neil Gaiman's book Coraline comes to life in a slightly off-centre animated movie. Coraline's family move into a new house with new neighbours, and she discovers a hidden door with a mirror image reality and a mum with button eyes.

Bedtime stories with Adam Sandler plays Skeeter who works as a hotel handyman. While babysitting his niece and nephew, he tells them a story which seems to affect his reality with surprise coincidences and outlandish results.

Will you discover some new favourites in this list? See you next month!
