Foxtel backed subscription streaming provider Presto says 44 of 2015's top grossing movies will make its way to the streaming platform in 2016, confirming Presto's lead when it comes to movie licensing.
Presto says movies like Jurassic World, Minions, Pitch Perfect 2, Daddy’s Home, The Dressmaker, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Ted 2, Last Cab to Darwin, Miss You Already, Carol, The Visit, Straight Outta Compton, Terminator: Genisys, Trainwreck and many others will be coming to Presto in 2016, with some of 2015's best movies, like Fast & Furious 7, Pitch Perfect 2, The Theory of Everything and Fifty Shades of Grey, already available for instant streaming.
This, Presto says, will mean that their service will have more big movies than both Stan and Netflix combined.
Presto CEO Shaun James took pride in Presto's stellar movie line-up for 2016.
“In 2015, Presto was the only SVOD service in Australia to offer our customers more of the top 100 box office hits from 2014 than any other streaming service, and today’s news reinforces our position even further with another fantastic line up of Hollywood blockbusters set for 2016. We’re thrilled to continue our legacy of chalking up the most exclusive movie titles with 44 incredible movies from last year’s top 100 set to take to Presto screens throughout the year," said James.
