There's plenty to watch this September, as a slew of hit American TV shows reaches our shores via the Foxtel/Seven owned SVOD platform Presto. And not only that, you'll be able to watch these new shows on Presto in new ways in September as well.

Presto has just announced more than 2,500 hours of HD content has been added to the streaming library, with more to come. This signals the first steps Presto has taken to upgrade their existing library to HD, finally joining rival Netflix and Stan in providing 1080p content (the previous has also supported 4K 2160p content since launch).

Presto has also just added Apple AirPlay support, allowing streaming of shows to the Apple TV, for big screen enjoyment. All of these new features are available via the revamped Presto app for iOS and Android, which also provides a new interface to make browsing easier and stability fixes.

For September, the highlight of the month is the addition of the critically acclaimed new series Mr. Robot, described as "The Social Network" meets "Occupy Wall Street", it's a show that follows the two lives of a young computer programmer - a security engineer by day and vigilante hacker by night. The first season of the show is available for instant streaming starting 4th September.

As revealed a few days on Streambly, September also sees several top NBCUniversal TV shows joining the Presto streaming library, shows including Mrs. Brown’s Boys, 30 Rock and Heroes - you can read more about this news story here.

For Presto Movies and Presto Entertainment subscribers, there are several high profile movie releases slated for September, including Boyhood (September 10), Nightcrawler (September 13) and Goodfellas (September 19).
