Stan: What's New For 15 April - 21 April 2024

Sports movies, new TV shows, and plenty for the kids. These are just some of the highlights this week. Read on to find out more.

Television:

There are quite a few new series arriving on Stan this past week, including the first seasons of Red Eye, Summer Love, and Such Brave Girls, as well as the first two seasons of Catfish UK.

There is also a new season (season 2) of Sullivan's Crossing - new episodes coming weekly.

Movies, Documentaries:

One of the best comedies of the '90s, There's Something About Mary has something for everyone except for the most prudish. Dallas Buyers Club won quite a few awards, and while I thought it was a good movie, I didn't think it was exemplary.

Good Luck To You, Leo Grande is another recommendation for this week.

Then we have a bunch of sports-related movies that are all worth a stream: Chariots of Fire, Eddie the Eagle, Foxcatcher, and Race (2016).

Kids:

All five Ice Age movies have been made available. I liked the first one and thought the others were skippable, as it often the case with these types of franchises.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox is truly fantastic.
