Speaking of classics, Independence Day may be dumb and bold, but it's dumb and bold in the right ways to make it an all-time cult classic. The sequel, Independence Day: Resurgence, however, is probably best avoided. And I swear I came up with the idea of a sequel shortly after the original that had a plot very close to "Resurgence".
The Icelandic/Danish production Godland is also new, and also recommended.
