Post-pandemic apocalypse drama (another one), a classic character returns, and some classic movies for young and old alike. Read on to find out what else has been happening on Stan this past week.
I know, too soon. But if you have to watch one drama about the post-apocalyptic world after a deadly pandemic, then Station Eleven is probably the one you should watch. The first three episodes of the limited series is available right now, with new episodes coming every Friday.
First there was the SNL sketch, then came the movie, and now the series. Will Forte returns as America's ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber.
There is also the new German series Amsterdam Undercover, along with a couple of Agatha Christie mini series, The Pale Horse, ABC Murders, and Ordeal by Innocence.
Season 2 of Evil has also been released.
A teacher comes to an inner-city school and cleans it up, is a genre unto itself, but at least with Lean On Me, it isn't a white, female teacher that's doing the cleaning up.
2014's Godzilla was good enough to start a franchise whose latest entry was the fun "Godzilla vs. Kong", so be sure to check it out.
They did a bad, bad thing. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman star in Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut. These name drops are all that you need in order to know that this is a good movie to add to your "must-see" list.
And the word "classic" is bandied about too often these days (and we're guilty on that too, here at Streambly), but the fact that The Wizard of Oz from 1939 still stands up today is testament to its quality.
With schools ending, there are a bunch of good kids content already on Stan, but this week adds the classic (hah) movie Free Willy.
There is also the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The first and the best?
