It's only November, but it seems Christmas is already here on Stan if the recent movie additions are any indication.
Quite a few shows are starting their new seasons this week, including season 4 of All American (new episodes weekly), season 4 of The Last O.G. (new episodes weekly), the complete season 2 of The Bay, season 2 of Love Life (first 3 episodes), and season 2 of Walker (new episodes weekly).
There is also a new foreign TV series, Sisterhood from Iceland.
It's been a while since the last "Fantastic Beasts" movie, the pandemic didn't help, but the very first one stands out as a fun foray back into the world of Harry Potter. You can stream Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them right now.
The 2017 remake of It was also good enough to warrant a sequel, while I'm sure there are legitimate complaints about cultural appropriation (a white dude saves Japanese culture from the Japanese!) and historical inaccuracies (a white dude saves Japanese culture from the Japanese!) in the movie The Last Samurai, but putting that aside, it's an interesting look at a fascinating (and under-examined) period in history.
There are a whole bunch of Christmas (TV) movies, nothing worth mentioning, to be honest, but if you like these things, you can have a look at the list below.
Actually, the previous sentence isn't strictly accurate. There is a Christmas movie that does get our recommendation, and that's the always funny Elf. It joins Stan along with a bunch of new kids content in preparation for the upcoming extended holidays.
