It's a Monday, and so time to take a look at what's been happening on Stan this past week (which spanned the last day of July to the first few days of August). For a complete preview of everything that's coming to Stan in August, have a peek at this article here.
There are a bunch of shows getting new episodes as per usual, but only one new addition in the form of another season (season 2) of The Handmaid's Tale. This dystopian drama has been winning all the awards for good reason - it's a quality show (check out season 2 trailer below if you're not convinced).
A couple of good movies to recommend this week, with most of them being World Movies. Before we get to them, there's the Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook
Matthew McConaughey is in good form in Mud and directed by Jeff Nichols, who has a couple of writing/directing credits of distinction in the form of 'Take Shelter' and 'Midnight Special'. 'Mud' is no different and it's an interesting watch from beginning to end.
For the World Movies, there's the Romanian Graduation, Lebanese The Insult, and the Belgian So Help Me God. The last one is technically a documentary, but you won't be able to tell given the colourful characters featured.
