As we start the last month of 2016, Stan is continuing to give us must-see TV shows and entertaining movies to watch.
Thanksgiving Weekend in the US means some shows that have regular new episodes are taking a break, but there's a new exclusive series based on a cult classic comic book, Preacher. 'Preacher' tells the story of, surprisingly, a preacher who gains the supernatural power to be able to command anyone with just a single word, who then works together with a vampire on his search for God. If that synopsis doesn't grab you, then I don't know what will. The complete first season is already available to stream on Stan.
There's a lot more in terms of movies arriving on Stan this week, including some of real quality. There is Brie Larson's award winning performance in Room, the post-war drama Phoenix, French film The Brand New Testament, to name a few. There are also not one but two movies about life in Tehran, in Taxi Tehran and My Tehran for Sale.

Fans of Aussie cinema, and in particular fans of the film 'The Adventures of Priscilla Queen' (which is also available on Stan) might want to check out the documentary Between a Frock & a Hard Place that examines making of and the cultural impact of the iconic film.
