Let's take a look at what's been happening on Stan, soon to be the only native Australian subscription VOD platform (once Presto shuts down in January 2017).
In terms of TV, there's not much "new" in terms of new shows or titles, but just the usual new episodes of your favourite Stan exclusives, such as Patrick Stewart's 'Blunt Talk' and the always entertaining Ash vs Evil Dead.
There are a few new movies though, including two relatively big names. Tom Hardy stars in Locke, a heart-pounding drama that is both well directed and acted. Then there's tough man Liam Neeson's latest effort in A Walk Among the Tombstones, which was also well received, at least for films of this type.
There's also the French film They Came Back, which was the movie that inspired a French TV show, and then remade in the U.S. as "The Returned". Well worth checking out the source material, if you have the time.
Doco and Lego fans should definitely check out A Lego Brickumentary, which takes a look at the global phenomenon that has risen from something as simple as plastic blocks.
