One month of winter down, two to go so let’s jump into all the toasty warm new offerings on Netflix this month.

Raise your hand if you’ve been missing Winona Ryder (Reality Bites) so much it hurts. I know, I know, it’s been a long time between drinks. But happily, she returns to our screens from July 15 in the eerie new series, Stranger Things. As the mother of a boy who has gone missing, Ryder’s Joyce discovers everything is not as it seems in her small town as she fights to get her son back. Set in the 1980s, don’t be surprised if the vibe is Spielberg-esque.

And while we’re talking about spooky things, stay tuned for weekly episodes of the Netflix Original series, Scream, based on the popular movie franchise. Season 2 kicks off from July 12 and stars relative newbies Willa Fitzgerald and John Karna.

From Oscar nominated filmmaker, Joe Berlinger (Metallica: This Monster Lives), comes a documentary about the original self-help author and motivational speaker, Tony Robbins. Going behind the scenes on his “Date With Destiny” seminar, Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru not only gives unprecedented access to the man himself but captures the real-life transformations of the participants as they happen. Robbins is coming to the Gold Coast in 2017 but given that the discount price is more than four grand, it might be more cost effective to take notes during this doco.

And if there’s one thing that’s bound to thrill my husband, it’s the addition of all 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls. No, I’m not kidding. He really has a soft spot for those girls and he’s not alone. The much beloved series about young mother, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and het teenaged daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), is the perfect opportunity to binge-watch and bond with your significant other. Lock in date night from July 1.

If your partner is playing hard to get when it comes to Gilmore Girls, perhaps a series generating loads of buzz will win them over. Look no further than How To Get Away With Murder: Season 1. Starring Viola Davis (The Help) as brilliant criminal defense professor, Annalise Keating, this legal thriller and Golden Globe nominee from producer Shonda Rhimes (Scandal, Grey’s Anantomy) delivers on suspense and mystery.

Need a fluffy Hollywood film? Check out Raising Helen starring Kate Hudson (Almost Famous). A terrible family tragedy leaves Helen, a New York career woman living a fabulous, child-free life, suddenly shackled with her sister’s three kids. What does she know about raising kids? She’s a fabulous New York career woman!! But don’t panic because though there are sure to be trials and tribulations, feel good schmaltz is the winner in the end.
