A retired mum/assassin, my go-to movie, and two very different documentaries. These are just some of the highlights this week. Read on to find out more.
Keeley Hawes stars as a mother, and menopausal hitwoman in The Assassin - the critics have been all over the place with this one, but with the entire first season available to stream right now, you can easily find out who is right.
The first season of The Hunting Wives is also available, based on the best-selling novel by May Cobb.
Mona Lisa Smile was all the rage when it was released, and had a stellar cast too. The Day After Tomorrow didn't get much critical acclaim, but it's my go-to movie whenever I want to watch a disaster movie.
Whatever you say about the controversy surrounding American Sniper, it was a very well made film by Clint Eastwood.
World movie fans should check out Nothing To Laugh About (Norway) and From Hilde, With Love (Germany).
And finally, two very different documentaries for you this week - Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas and The Accidental President.
