Mini movie marathon ideas, a classic coming-of-age film, and Australia's radical fight against AIDS. These are just some of the highlights this week. Read on to find out more.
This Aussie miniseries In Our Blood is worth watching, about a perhaps slightly forgotten part of Australian history in the 1980s.
The post-apocalyptic genre is a bit overdone, but How I Live Now seems to find a new angle to do it in an interesting manner. Speaking of interesting, the premise of Swiss Army Man is definitely ... weird.
Mermaids was one of my favourite coming-of-age movies, something the late '80s and early '90s were very good at producing.
Two movie marathon ideas have just presented themselves thanks to new additions. The First Blood Trilogy joins the fifth and last movie in the franchise "Rambo: Last Blood" already on Stan (the confusingly titled "Rambo", the fourth movie, is missing from Stan). You can also do a mini-marathon with the Steve Martin Pink Panther movies.
World movie fans should check out the critically acclaimed What Will People Say.
You can view last week's list here.
