Poignant films, a '90s classic, and a tech fail story. These are just some of the highlights this week. Read on to find out more.
The Stan exclusive South Africa set crime drama series Devil's Peak arrives with the entire first season to stream.
Bend It Like Beckham launched the career of Keira Knightley, and women's football to an international market, and for that, it will always be considered a classic. And it's a pretty great movie too. Another great movie, and a quintessential '90s must-see, is Jerry Maguire.
All The Money in The World won't be considered a classic in anyone's book, but it's memorable for being the movie nearly ruined by Kevin Spacey, and ultimately saved by Christopher Plumber.
A trio of world movies that come highly recommended. It's been described as authentic, flawless and poignant, so Oscar-nominated Perfect Days seems like the kind of film that some will absolutely love, while others will find absolutely boring. France's The Big Hit also comes recommended, while Robot Dreams technically qualifies as a world movie as it was a Spanish-French co-production, but it's set in New York and is mostly silent, so I don't know. I do know that it's a film children and adults will both enjoy, but adults will definitely get more out of it.
And if you're a fan of tech/business failure docos like myself, then you have to watch Crashed: $800m Festival Fail.
