Welcome back to our weekly feature looking at what's been happening on Stan for the past week.
We're still in early January, and things are still pretty quiet over in Stan-land. That's not to say there aren't some great content available, which this week includes the rest of the episodes in the series Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams, an anthology of stories based and inspired by the original writings of Philip K. Dick (think Blade Runner spliced with Black Mirror).
The highly acclaimed comedy series The Detour comes to Stan, with the first 2 seasons ready to binge. Described as a raunchy sitcom, meant for adult consumption, so if you're easily offended, look elsewhere. It stars Jason Jones who hails from The Daily Show and is created by him and his wife, also a Daily Show alumni, Samantha Bee. If you've ever watched any of their segments on The Daily Show, you might have an inkling of what kind of comedy to expect (ie. the good kind).
There is also a new season (season 4) of Beauty and the Beast.
It's a quiet week for movies, not too many to recommend to be completely honest. I've mentioned Turbo Kid before because it was added back to Stan exactly a year ago, taken off, and now added back on again (for the school holidays?). Worth a watch with the kids.
