Not many weeks left in the year, and while many are already on their holidays (if not in body, then in spirit at least), the content boffins at Stan are still hard at work bringing you new stuff to watch.
For TV, last week saw the season 2 premier of Wolf Creek, all 6 new episodes now available for streaming. This series is definitely not for the faint of heart, so keep that in mind before you start your binge session.
There is also a new season of Adventure Time, the hit cartoon series is now in its 9th season.
For the movie highlights, Hong Kong crime cinema is at its best in Infernal Affairs, Infernal Affairs 2 and Infernal Affairs 3. If the plot of the first movie seems familiar, it's because Oscar winner and Scorsese epic The Departed is a (superior?) remake of the film. The other two films in the series aren't bad either.
Still staying with Asian cinema, another Kurosawa classic has been added to the Stan library in the form of Throne Of Blood, a re-telling of Shakespeare's Macbeth starring the always excellent and long-time Kurosawa collaborator Toshirô Mifune.
And finally, the sad and brave story of murdered photojournalist James Foley is told in Jim: The James Foley Story.
