My Best Friend's Wedding is always a fun delight, one of those films you keep coming back to whenever you need a lift. It's an older title, but it still stands up.
The same can be said of Army of Darkness.
Capote reminds us how much was lost with the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Enemy is an interesting little movie you might have missed from acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has firmly established itself in our cultural vernacular, so it's worth watching just to understand the references.
As crime thrillers go, you can't go much wrong with Hell or High Water and The Departed.
And finally, world movie fans should check out The Bélier Family. If the plot about the daughter whose parents and brother are all deaf sounds familiar, then you probably watched the Oscar winner "Coda", which was a remake of this Belgian film.
