Welcome again to our weekly feature where we look at the most popular streaming movies and TV shows in Australia based on data collected by streaming search engine JustWatch. Data includes subscription streaming as well as transactional streaming titles. Click here to read last week's roundup.

Movies:

Kinds of Kindness debuts on streaming via Disney+ and it was the third most-streamed movie for the week ending 1 September 2024.

Where the Crawdad Sing, 7th, arrived on Netflix and perhaps those that enjoyed Daisy Edgar-Jones's performance in Twisters could check out some of her earlier film work.

Kevin Costner's Western epic Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 arrives on Stan, and was 8th.

Incoming was 9th and The Crow, the original one not the one being panned by critics right now, was 10th.

"The Union", "Nice Girls", "Alien", "Kalki 2898-AD", and "Deadpool" all left the top 10.

Television:

Only Murders in the Building returns for a fourth season and it helped the show return to the top 10 in top spot.

Netflix's new imaginative series Kaos was second.

The Terror was 4th, while the new season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuts in 6th.

People are catching up on "Slow Horses" (Apple TV+) just ahead of its new season, and Netflix's anime take on the Terminator franchise, a successful one in my opinion, Terminator Zero, debuts in 9th.

"Fake", "Bad Monkey", "Chimp Crazy", "The Accident", "The Bear", and "Presumed Innocent" all left the top 10 to make room.
