My first thought when I watched Son Of A Critch was "The Wonder Years". That's most likely due to the format of an older man narrating the life of boy in a coming-of-age dramedy, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. The entire first season is available to stream right now, so you can find out for yourself.
Also new, but "new" in the sense that it's new to Stan, is the miniseries Howards End based on the famous novel.
Ghost Hunters is also new, but we only get the 10th and 11th seasons for now.
Was it a travesty that The Whale wasn't nominated for Best Picture? I don't know about that, but it did earn star Brendan Fraser a Best Actor award, and rightly so. You'll be debating that ending for days on end.
Michael Mann's Ali wasn't as good as it could have been given the subject matter, but it might worth watching together with the superior documentary Facing Ali. Speaking of late '90s/early 2000s hits, The Bone Collector, has just been aded.
And finally, the documentary Revealed: Reefshot examines efforts to save the Great Barrier Reef. Well worth a watch.
