Royal backstabbing, Hamish & Andy tomfoolery, and epic sea battles. These are some of the highlights for this past week on Stan. Read on to find out more.
It's been described as a sexier version of "Succession", but I don't think many shows live up to the quality of "Succession". Still, the Tudor court was always an interesting one and Becoming Elizabeth, new episode streaming weekly, might just be interesting enough to hold its own.
We also have no less than five other new (to Stan, at least) series. The entire first season of the re-imagined Queer as Folk is now available to stream, as is Everything I Know About Love. Hamish & Andy fans should check out Hamish & Andy's “Perfect” Holiday and True Story with Hamish & Andy.
There is also a new Spanish series, The Invisible Line.
Both Midway and Hustlers came out at around the same time in 2019, and both belongs to the "decent, watchable, not life changing" categories. "Midway" is better than Michael Bay's "Pearl Harbor", which doesn't really mean much.
Winner of the Caméra d’Or at Cannes Film Festival, Hunger is worth a stream I reckon.
