Must-see TV, must-see movies, and quite a lot of them, was the theme last week on Stan. Read on to find out the shows and movies you need to add to your watchlist right now!

Television:

There is an amazing amount of great to amazing TV series that have just landed on Stan, it's hard to know where to start. But I'll start with my favourite, the crime drama series Fargo - the first two seasons are amazing, the third is a little bit less so, but still pretty good.

Then we have complete seasons of Gangland Undercover, Outsiders, Manhattan, Project Blue Book, Casual and The Path.

These should keep me busy for a couple of months.

There are also new seasons of Saved By The Bell and the gripping Aussie drama Mystery Road.

Movies, Documentaries:

Some fantastic movies have also arrived on Stan this past week, all of the movies below are what I would definitely put on my "must-watch" list.

Stan exclusive Nitram doesn't quite go as far as to name its antagonist as Martin Bryant, the Port Arthur massacre mass shooter, instead opting to call him "Nitram". But Nitram is "Martin" spelt backwards, and those that know the details of the disturbed young man (Wikipedia!) will see not just parallels, but a complete recreation of his major life moments. Harrowing, a must-see, with lots of insight into why U.S. mass shootings keep on happening and make you pretty glad about our tough gun laws (that didn't exist back then and were created specifically to prevent another Port Arthur - and prevent it, it has).

For a change of pace, before he was doing "Thor: Ragnorak" and "Jojo Rabbit", Taika Waititi's What We Do In The Shadows showcased the kind of comedy he was capable of, not just in front of the camera, but behind it as well.

Christopher Nolan films are all memorable, but the idiosyncratic structure of Dunkirk is something that only Nolan is capable of, and he pulls it off with aplomb. It makes you want to watch the film again after you realise at the end what has just happened.

Then there's The Exorcist, The Fifth Element, Training Day, and a creepy Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler.
