So how are you doing in your self-imposed isolation? You better be catching up on your streaming, and here's a good rule, anything on your watch list that you still haven't watched by the end of this, you'll probably never going to watch - remove it from the list and move on, people!
Some new quality British drama for you to enjoy this week on Stan. There's Critical, focusing on the work of medical staff at a major trauma center, a timely drama considering the brilliant and dangerous work frontline health professionals are facing each and every day around the world in recent times. Then there's Pure, where X-rated thoughts that pop up 3672 days in a row could mean something is definitely wrong.
There are also new seasons of the UK series Hidden, Upstart Crow, and Bad Move.
This is probably one of the best homage/reboot/spoof movies ever. The Brady Bunch Movie didn't just take a classic TV series and performed a simple reboot - it took it to the future, literally, and pokes fun and pays tribute to the classic series all at the same time. Watch this underrated film and its sequel too (not on Stan).
Here's one that's been on one or more of my watch lists forever and I've yet to watch it (and will follow my own advice and remove it if, by the end of this self-imposed quarantine, I still haven't bothered to watch it) - Calvary tells the story of a dangerous confession that turns the life of a priest upside down, and stars an excellent Brendan Gleeson.
There are lots of prison documentaries, but this one, Leavenworth, about the true story of inmate Clint Lorance is different in that it's set in the infamous military prison. There's also more of Louis Theroux's fine work in four new documentaries.
