It's both a new week and a new month on Stan, and so we'll do our usual thing and take a quick look at what's just been added. If you want to preview what's coming for the entire month of October, then have look here.
Two new series, but one you probably would have heard of with all the ads on TV about it. Godfather of Harlem has some serious acting credentials in the form of Forest Whitaker, Vincent D'Onofrio and Giancarlo Esposito. Whitaker stars as notorious mob boss Bumpy Johnson in this gritty crime drama that has already got some good reviews. New episode arrive weekly
There is also new spin-off series RuPaul's Drag Race UK, and new episodes will be coming weekly as well.
Here are this week's picks in terms of newly added movies. The crocodile version of Jaws meet the Australian outback in Rogue, which is actually a pretty good movie despite its silly premise.
A more high brow option would be Oscar winner The Hurt Locker, which adds suspense to gritty drama.
Now sure which of these Will Ferrell movies, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Old School, and Blades Of Glory, you will like the most (my pick is 'Old School' and the first 'Anchorman'), but I'm sure you'll like one of them (actually, I'm not that sure, as not everyone's a fan of Will Ferrell).
These two movies aren't my cup of tea, but there will be somebody's: Sex and the City, Sex and the City 2.
And finally for the kids, there's a trio of Rugrats movies The Rugrats Movie, Rugrats In Paris: The Movie, and Rugrats Go Wild. For those that are too young to know what Rugrats are, then this is a good opportunity to find out (spoiler: it's a lot of fun!)
