Welcome back to another look at what's been happening on Stan this past week.
There aren't any new shows on Stan this past week, not only a few continuing shows that are still going at the moment, including Power, Younger, and Preacher.
There's a bit more going on with movies.
The one-shot film festival favourite Aussie film Watch The Sunset comes to Stan as an exclusive, and it has some impressive performances even if the "gimmick" of a one-shot film doesn't appeal to you.
Superhero movies have improved a lot since 1997's 'Batman & Robin', but the "golden age" that started with Iron Man was still in its nascent stage when Watchmen (2009) and Super (2010) hit the screens. While neither became multi-movie franchises, in the end, both had its own uniqueness and in the case for the former, its director (Zack Snyder) went on to bigger and better things because of it.
Other recommended flicks include Cast Away, Jodie Foster in The Brave One and The Station Agent.
The Israeli production Foxtrot is also recommended, for those needing a foreign film fix.
