Netflix's new superhero original series, The Umbrella Academy, retained top spot in TV Time's Binge Report for the week of February 18, 2019.
TV Time calculates a binge session as when a viewer watches four or more episodes of the same show within a given day, as tracked by the TV Time (iPhone and Android) App.
Debuting at the number one spot last week, 'The Umbrella Academy' has become yet another Netflix original hit, and one that's caught many people's imaginations since it's release. In fact, it has risen in popularity compared to last week, with the show accounting for 7.44% of all binge sessions, up from 3.29% and much higher than the 2.46% recorded by the number two ranked show, Friends.
Other than fellow Netflix series One Day at a Time dropping from a high second place all the way to 8th, most of the shows that were in the top 10 last week remained in similar positions this week. However, there's a new entry in the 10th spot, 'How to Get Away with Murder' - season 5 of the show is wrapping up in the U.S. and this appears to have helped the show gain some traction as a binge target.
As quick as How I Met Your Mother re-entered the top 10 last week, it left it this week.
