A surprisingly strong list of new movie additions marks the midpoint of November, as we once again take a look at what's new on Stan for the past week.
Starting with television programmes, new mini-series Escape at Dannemora stars Oscar winner Benicio del Toro and is directed by none other than Ben Stiller (yes, that Ben Stiller). This crazy but true story details how an employee at a prison becomes romantically involved not with one but two inmates, and eventually helps them escape.
There is also the last ever episode of The Last Ship - the show's had a good run, but it's had its time it seems.
It's nearly that time of the year and Stan has just dumped a bunch of Christmas themed movies (the emphasis on dumped), but none that would be worth more than a casual mention.
It doesn't have to be a Christmas themed movie to inspire you for the holiday season though, and the likes of Stronger and the French/Belgium The Belier Family are all more worthy candidates.

While some of those movies will be uplifting, if you need to go on a downer for no good reason, then make sure you watch The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Calvary and Side Effects.
Documentary fans, especially those interested in US politics, should definitely check out The Circus - Midterm Election Special, and Enemies: The President, Justice & the FBI, which will be getting new episodes weekly.
