Welcome to our latest edition of "What's New on Stan", this time for the week of August 14 to 20, 2018.
In TV, there are the usual "weekly new episode" shows, although one of which, Condor, has reached its first season finale. There is also the new kids animated series, Looped, for which the complete season 1 can be streamed right now.
There are also some great movie choices this week too, with the emotional, realistic and satisfying Sully on the top of the recommended list. If you don't recognise the movie's title, then you may recognise what event the movie portrays, the successful water landing of a passenger jet on the Hudson river, the Miracle on the Hudson, by pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger.
This one may have also escaped your attention when it was first released (as it bombed at the box office), a pseudo remake of the Indonesian smash hit The Raid, Dredd takes the comic book character and plops him into the same setting. Cue glorious and satisfying action set pieces and a cult classic in the making.
Some movies are so bad they're good, but some movies are just bad. The Wedding Guest seems to fall into the latter category, but I'm mentioning it now because, who knows, it may be your cup of tea. Don't say I didn't warn you!
