SMILF (trailer) - new from showcase, Frankie Shaw will write, direct, and star in this semi-autobiographical comedy that takes a candid approach to the single life, with baby in tow. Rosie O'Donnell also guest stars as Tutu, the character's mom.
Homegrown Pawno (trailer) Set in local Melbourne suburb Footscray, Les Underwood runs the pawnbrokers and watches as twelve different stories intersect on a single day, as they come through his doors and stop by with their hopes and dreams. Directed by Paul Ireland, written by Damian Hill.
Desierto (trailer) - Directed by Jonás Cuarón and Alfonso Cuaron, a migrant names Moses leads a group of people crossing the Mexico USA border along the harsh desert, and encounter a man who has taken the responsibility of border patrol into his own hands. Starring Gael García Bernal, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Alondra Hidalgo.
The Whole Truth (trailer) - So nice to see Keanu Reeves and Renee Zellweger on screen again – coming together as defendant lawyer Richard Ramsay and client Loretta Lassiter who work together to come up with a defense for Loretta's son Mike against murder charge. However, the story seems to unravel as the evidence is closely examined, leading Janelle (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) to dig a little deeper.
For younger viewers, we continue to bolster up Ben 10 eps, and Powerpuff Girls, and if you need a family pleaser, pick Inkheart (trailer) - Brendan Fraser is young father with a special gift that brings stories to life whenever he reads aloud. He must find a way to use his Silvertongue gift to save his friends and family.
