Enjoy mysteries? You're in for a treat. Tune into the Twin Peaks (trailer) limited event, exclusive to Stan. Directed by David Palmer, and co written by Mark Frost, this 18 part series will be released on May 22. Twenty five years after the first series in 1990 we revisit the quaint northwestern town which was stunned by the murder of their homecoming queen Laura Palmer. Over thirty returning actors and actresses will come together, including lead detective Dale Cooper (Kyle McLachlan). Trailer
For side splitting laughs, dial up Amy Schumer S3 (trailer), full of more sketches and whip sharp observations and 'in' jokes. Bolstered by a great cast of guest stars, we'll see Tina Fey, Julia-Louis Dreyfus and Patricia Arquette in one episode, and plenty of surprises in store.
For a whacky perspective, turn on Drunk History S2 (trailer) which is the funnier version of what's happened before, re-enacted by people who don't take themselves very seriously. It's kinda like watching people put on a play and guffawing at their hopeless antics.
BAFTA award winning series Prey S1 & S2 (trailer) drops on May 5; Manchester Detective Marcus Farrow (John Simm) goes on the run after being accused of a murdering his wife and son. Was he framed, and who will find the killer first?
For our younger viewers, click through and you'll be spoilt for choice as Stan brings you Powerpuff girls, Avatar, the last Airbender and it's successful spin off The Legend of Korra and Rugrats. Camp Laszlo and Chowder also debut S1, arriving on May 26.
One for the ladies who want to let loose, Bad Moms (trailer) starring Mila Kunis, Kirsten Bell, Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith, has stressed out, and over achieving mums break away from their 'amazing' expectations and party.
If you've missed the broadway show in Melbourne, you can watch it at home instead- Kinky Boots (trailer) is the acclaimed musical adaptation set to Cyndi Lauper's catchy tunes. Charlie Price (Joel Edgerton) inherits the family business, a run down shoe factory and discovers they're in the red. A chance encounter with a transvestite cabaret singer (Chiwetel Ejiofor) leads him to manufacturing cabaret boots for the stage instead.
Plenty of movies to keep you satisfied, with a few horror offerings (Scream 1-3), 30 Days of Night (based on comic by Steve Niles), The Descent 1 & 2, and House of Wax. Have a look at Frank Miller's Sin City (2005) as well, based on eponymous comic book.
