As we approach the ides of March, it's time again to look at what's been happening on Australian streaming platform Stan for the past week.
On TV, you can check out the complete first season of Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon's comedy series, and of course a remake of the classic movie/TV show of the same name, The Odd Couple. There are also continuing new episodes of Underground, Imposters, and Billions.
There are some really interesting movies that have just been added to Stan as well this week. Steve Carell is in fine form in Seeking A Friend For The End of The World, along with an effective Keira Knightley, this (blackish) comedy, drama will definitely give you the feels. An comedy all star cast takes part in Our Idiot Brother, but I had trouble getting through this movie to be honest. Not that it's bad, but it's just very average, considering what the writers had to work with.
An epic journey to freedom, or an anti-communist propaganda film, decide for yourself by watching Australian director Peter Weir's The Way Back.
This week's world movies are an interesting bunch as well, with Italian The Right Thing and Iranian Wednesday, May 9, joined by the latest French adaptation of the novel The War Of The Buttons (personally, I think you'd be better off sticking with the 1994 John Roberts version instead).
