Welcome to another week here on Stan. It's pretty much business as usual this week, with plenty of series getting new weekly episodes. The one new TV show for the week is Reign, which chronicles the rise of Mary, Queen of Scots - the entire mini-series is now available for instant streaming on Stan.
Movies are fairly light on the ground this week too, with three world movies from three different countries examining three very different issues. The one that immediately caught the eye, no doubt due to the movie's poster featuring a guy wearing female underwear on his head, is Japan's Hentai Kamen. A superhero movie of a different kind, let's just say that this comedy is not for those that are easily offended. After all, when a movie's protagonist is named Pervert Mask, you know you're not in for something mainstream.
The other films may be ones that have received more critical acclaim, including France's Girlhood, which takes a look at the female gang culture in the run down areas of urban Paris. Gett: The Trial Of Viviane Amsalem gives us insight into an aspect of Israel we seldom think about - divorce, and how difficult it can be in a country where the law favors the husband's rights over the wife's.
