Stan has added another big name to its streaming library, with new TV shows from the U.S. Showtime network coming to Stan on an exclusive basis.
CBS owned Showtime is the network behind hit shows such as Homeland, Weeds, will license its new shows on an exclusive basis to Stan. While Showtime has current deals with other SVOD platforms including Netflix and Presto, once these deals expire, Stan will have exclusive rights to Showtime's extensive library of TV shows, shows including House of Lies, The Affair, Penny Dreadful, Ray Donovan, Dexter and Californication.
Stan subscribers can already watch new episodes of the TV series Billions, available for instant streaming at the same time as the original US airing, and they will also be able to exclusively watch the eagerly anticipated reboot of Twin Peaks, when the show airs in 2017.
As a bonus to the deal, several shows from Showtime parent company CBS will also make its way to Stan, including Madam Secretary, Limitless, Elementary, Scorpion, Under the Dome, Extant, Beauty and the Beast and Reign. Trekkies will have a new place to binge on their favourite series, with every episode of every Star Trek television series made available on Stan.
Stan CEO Mike Sneesby was delighted to announce the new partnership with Showtime and CBS.

Likewise, Showtime welcomed the new deal, which follows a similar one made with UK broadcaster Sky for the European market.
