For those with Netflix USA accounts, trying to keep up with what’s new from when can be tough. Thankfully we at streambly.com.au has listed all the content new in July, 2015.
Netflix USA 57 new items for July 2015. Conversely Netflix AusNZ had only 22 new items in June. The disparity in new content makes one consider a Netflix USA account, rather than a domestic one. (Or why not have both? You can gain access to US Netflix and every other regional Netflix, and switch between them at will, by using Unblock-Us).

Fans of survival stories and those wishing to confront their fear of flying could have enjoyed Alive on July 1, a day that included a juicy twenty new items, which is almost as many as Netflix Australia got in all of June. Other features suitable for phobias include Hostage (fear of kidnapping,) Saw V (fear of sharp objects,) and Changeling (fear of Angelina Jolie.)

Most anticipated for Netflix addicts is debut of the entirety of Season 2 of Bojack Horseman. Season 1 gave us a surprisingly emotional journey following the stagnated career of its titular character, a humanoid horse, who is still living off the success of his solitary and now defunct and 1990’s TV hit, Horsin’ Around. The first season broached themes of fame and friendship, love and loneliness, alcohol and drugs, and more, through half-animal, half-human characters and what appeared to be three children disguised as an adult man. Yet in spite of the initially off-putting colouring and abrasive main character, Bojack Horseman produced a highly enjoyable viewing with strong voice performances from both the cast and guest appearances. We already know Season 2 features Lisa Kudrow as Bojack’s new love interest, but will he end up with Charlotte, the deer from his drug-vision? Will he finally live out his dream of playing Secretariat? And can he patch things up with his only real friend in Todd? Get ready for a binge-watch this weekend to find out.

True to Netflix form, the July 2015 release provides options for all interests. Comedy, drama, documentary and action, adult content and heaps for kids, it’s all there. And as touched on earlier, the volume of content available is not only greater, but growing quicker too, than the local product. Netflix Australia is however still in it’s infancy, with barely four months in the market. Further, some content that Netflix may have licensed in the US has already been sold to other Australian networks for domestic screening, like Breaking Bad. Given the network’s huge popularity in Australia, I doubt it will be too long before the local library begins to rival that of it’s American older sibling. Netflix is already changing the way Australian’s view and want TV, and the company will want to entrench their market dominance as soon as possible. Until then though, here’s the complete list for USA accounts for July, 2015.
