Welcome to the Binge Report, where we look at the most popular movies and original TV shows that Americans have been streaming in the last week. For those interested in Australian numbers (provided to us by streaming search engine JustWatch), please have a look here. You can read last week's report here.

The TV Time app (iPhone and Android) helps users organise their streaming plans. The data here is tracked from American users of the app and some shows listed are not available in Australia without the use of a suitable VPN.

Movies:

Netflix's vampire film Day Shift was the most streamed movie for the weekend of August 12 - August 14 2022.

"The Black Phone" over on Peacock was also new to the top 10, coming in at 7th. And Paramount+'s original superhero movie "Secret Headquarters"

Making room for these three were "They/Them", "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", and "Not Okay".

Streaming Originals:

A new season of Locke & Key helped the show get back in the streaming originals top 10, in second place.

The Disney+ original shorts series I Am Groot debuts in third place, while a new season of Never Have I Ever helped it rank 4th.

"Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" (HBO Max) was down in 10th place.

Leaving the top 10 were "Big Brother (US)", "Uncoupled", and "Stranger Things". "The Orville" also left, after a great run in the top 10.
