Dust off your summer sunglasses and come in to enjoy a spot of new Amazon Originals this March.

Amazon has brought home a winner with this series, Annedroids S4 (trailer) released on March 3. Winner of Parent's Choice Gold Award, and nominated 11 times for Daytime Emmy, this live action/CGI blend of follows genius scientist Anne with her friends Nick and Shania, and her android creations Hand, Eyes and Pal. Perfect antithesis to the princess style shows aimed at tweens, Annedroids celebrates STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths), by getting hands on and creating experiments to solve problems. Starring Addison Holley.

Hand of God S2 (trailer) return on March 10, with corrupt Judge Pernell Harris (played by Ron Perlman) suffering a mental breakdown since the suicide of his son, and seeks revenge on the rapist who tore his family apart. Pernell also searches for answers through his hallucinations and vision which feature his bedridden son, which he believes are sent by God. Also starring Dana Delaney as spouse Crystal Harris.

Third in the American Girl special, we have An American Girl Story - Ivy & Julie 1976 Season 3 which features Ivy Ling, a Chinese-American girl who would love to be like her all-American best friend. When Chinese New Year family dinner and the All-City Gymnastics Tournament fall on the same day, Ivy must decide between the two.

Cult favourite Orphan Black Season 4 arrives March 16, with new characters to enjoy and follow. Starring Tatiana Maslaney.

Looking at movie highlights, we have The Dressmaker, starring Kate Winslet. Set in fictional Australian town Dungatar, Tilly Dunnage makes a 'prodigal daughter' return to her home town in order to uncover the truth from her childhood. (Also starring Hugo Weaving, Shane Bourne, hunky Liam Hemsworth and a host of other Aussie stars).

If you're in the mood for something musical Chicago (2002) with Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere and John C. Reilly come together in the movie adaptation of Chicago in the 1920's. Funny, sharp and lavish, Chicago took home six Oscars including Best Picture and Costume Design.

In The Gambler (2014 - trailer) Mark Wahlberg plays Jim Bennett, an literature professor who gets himself into tight spots on account of his aggressive, 'all or nothing' gambling style. In comes doe eyed student, who possibly is a pleasant distraction from the gambling debts, and the hulking threatening men who are hunting Jim.

Two servings of horror available in Vampire in Brooklyn (1995) with Eddie Murphy and Hannibal (2001) starring Anthony Hopkins. For the family, I like Hoodwinked (2005), a fresh retelling of the Red Riding Hood tale, featuring a whodunnit style and with plenty of surprises and gags.

Have fun, folks!
