A new Netflix is rolling out to TV connected Netflix devices, unifying the design to offer a richer and more interactive experience. A year and half in development, the new interface will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, Roku 3 and selected Smart TVs and Blu-ray players.

The new interface adds more of a visual emphasis to the browsing experience, with programming now coming with three large images to hint at what it is about. Descriptions are now also more detailed, and comes with more personalised information (for example, why Netflix thinks this title is a good fit based on your previous viewing experience).

Searching has also been enhanced, with a new interface designed for TV screens.

In addition, Netflix Profiles, first introduced in August, will now be available on all devices carrying the new interface.

The update is rolling out across all compatible devices over the next two weeks.
